Retraction

I must apologize to you, reader. In my last post I made an inaccurate generalization that "everyone loves babies." This is categorically false. The truth is some people don't even believe in babies. Thank you, reader, for bringing this to my attention. For any offense I've caused, I offer my sincerest apologies.

Wow, and here I too was misguided into thinking that statement was true. I wonder how many people I've offended in the past?

On a different note, why does it always SAY that you are on Skype when you really are NOT?

Well, I'm sure you've offended a lot of people. You should probably issue an apology. Maybe go into rehab or something till it blows over.

As for the Skype, I've instructed my wife to answer this. It's very technical and complicated. By the way, Spaghettipie (may I call you Spaghetti?), there's an article that I've been meaning to send you in light of one of your recent posts.

Dear Ms. Pie,

Thank you for your inquiry. The response is very technical, but I will give it my best shot.

Our new computer is so quiet that we sometimes forget it's on when we go to bed (the computer is on the desk right next to our bed). Then, late at night, we are awakened by Skype's zoomy-poppy noise, reminding us that we left our computer on and that some inconsiderate person is trying to Skype us at an ungodly hour.

Trent usually becomes irate, cussing and throwing things. I become frightened and sleep on the bathroom floor to avoid his rage. This is all due to whoever keeps Skyping us late at night.

I hope that answers your question.

Oh, and there is another reason. Trent is addicted to old episodes of the Gilmore Girls. We often watch an episode before bed (on our bedside computer since we don't have a TV). Sometimes in the middle of an episode, just as something dramatic and explosive is about to take place, the screen is obscured by a Skype popup and the magical TV moment is ruined. Trent often sobs and becomes inconsolable. Once again, I sleep on the bathroom floor. It is very uncomfortable.

I worry for the person who interrupts our sleep and our Gilmore Girls. If Trent ever finds out who it is . . .

Weeelll, if you would remember to say that you're unavailable then maybe people wouldn't bother you at inopportune times. Or you could just tell Richard to leave you alone.
